I chose the monochromatic color scheme because I wanted to
experiment.
In hindsight I have realized that my colors did not have enough contrast.
But I have learned a valuable lesson...that when you lay out the colors beforehand,
they do not stitch (when mixed) with the same values.
I chose to design the basket to complement the geometric effect of the octagons...without
detracting from them.
After stitching the Alicia Lace pattern with metallic, I decided to
use the metallic ribbon for the basket, with random placement of the other colors
for the flowers.
I really enjoyed stitching OS.
