I chose to do in a monochromic color scheme, hoping the two light purples would provide sufficient accent for the design. In retrospect I feel I should have added more contrast in the shades of the colors.

As I was looking for something for the center of the piece I received the chart for Jean Hilton's new stitch, the Chilly Hollow Special and I adapted this into an octagonal shape for the center and stitched it in the metallic braid.
