While visiting Newcastle, New South Wales, I met Neil Keats and bought some of his beautiful bobbins in native Australian woods.
Brian and Jean Lemin took me to the Hunter Valley, where great Aussie wine is made. We went to Morpeth, where I bought some lace goodies from Marie Messmer's shop.
Ruth Budge and I are standing at Sublime Point in the Blue Mountains. There were too many bush fires for the mountains to be really blue on the day we were there, but the scenery was beautiful anyway.
