Perdika Sidings was on the old Ghan railroad from Adelaide to Alice Springs. All that is left now is some abandoned cottages and a line in the scrub where the track was.
The moon plain just outside Coober Pedy looks so odd that it has been used as a location by several sci-fi films.
After leaving the grand metropolis of William Creek (population 12), further down the Oodnadatta track is Desart, installations made from abandoned technological artefacts.
