In September 2002 I took a 10 day trip from Alice Springs to Adelaide. On the way there's a lot of scrubby desert, a lot of dirt roads, and very few people.
On the second morning we got up to see the sunrise at Uluru (Ayers Rock).
We'd been up since 4.30am to get the best place.
Later we went bushwalking at Kata Tjuta (the Olgas).
