In April 2007 I went to Bad Laer near Osnabrück in north western Germany for a lace course with Inge Theuerkauf.

Course members hard at work. Karin on the left is making a circular edging in s'Gravenmoer. Brigitte on the right is working on a scarf in thick silk, in spring colours.

Suzanne on the left is making one of the star motifs below. Inge Theuerkauf is standing at the back. The room is not really as dark as it looks in this picture.

Inge's latest designs are for Zweigart fabric pieces in triangle, diamond and star shapes. The fabric pieces have prefinished edges with loops, intended for crochet. However this also makes them easy to use with bobbin lace - a simple oversewing quickly joins the lace to the fabric. The fabric is evenweave so could be used for cross stitch etc.
