The original artwork is by Sue Mason, a talented but starving artist. Gytha North adapted, charted and stitched the design as a gift for Sue. Gytha met Sue through science fiction fandom. Sue lives in Altrincham, England and is currently teaching crafts and selling her art as pyrographed and designs on wood at Woodlore Pyrography.

Sue did a couple of pictures for Gytha to turn into needlepoint cushions about 7 or so years ago, what with one thing and another it never got done. Then Gytha moved to Scotland and was unemployed with plenty of time but no money. Gytha wanted to do something special for Sue, and then Gytha found the pictures. It is Gytha's first attempt at a cross stitch design and the finished product looks quite different from the original artwork, partially due to limiting the colours used and also to avoid the design looking "cartoony".

It is stitched over 2 on 32 count linen with DMC threads. Design size is approx. 4" x 5". If Gytha were doing it again she would go for a darker pallet of colours and add some metallics or blending filament, he wouldn't be "Misty" then though.
