The florentine stitch on this card is stitched in Watercolours by the Caron Collection, colour Tahiti, a matte overdyed perle cotton. The square filling stitches are in Spring II from Needle Necessities, a rayon/cotton blend which has a sheen that doesn't show on this scan. The filling stitches are, from the top right hand corner, rice stitch, diagonal divided satin stitch, cross corner cushion stitch in alternate directions, tent stitch, cross stitch over two threads, cashmere stitch, eyelets, rhodes stitch, smyrna crosses and satin stitches over the tiny area at bottom left. This piece is a good exercise to practice using overdyed threads without showing where a new thread has been started, and compensation of stitches in the small areas at the edges. Stitched on 18 count.
