Three fold card, any shape aperture
Silver 14 count perforated paper
Multis thread made by Bond America

Place the card upside down on the back of the perforated paper and use a felt tip pan to draw the outline of the aperture.
Find the middle of the drawn shape. Stitch a line of diagonal stitches over one, as shown in the middle of the chart. Continue stitching as shown in the chart, covering the drawn outline completely. Mounting the card is easier if there are one or two extra stitches all around

This design is featured on using a different thread and a different shape card.

An alternative thread suitable for use on 14 count paper is Caron Watercolours, a variegated perle cotton.
